Finder's Keepers Fall Sale

Last week was an absolute blast!  Woven Home participated in the Fall Finders Keeper's Sale.  I have finally caught up from being gone almost a week. So today I wanted to share with you some of the fun fall items we made and sold last week.

A friend of ours bought this amazing table Janet and Wendy painted.  But before she did Kandi and I had a fun time creating this tablescape.

Placemats, vintage apothocary bottles and wood beverage signs were a few of my favorite things at the sale.

For those of you that know me, you know I am from Wisconsin.  So when Kandi said we should make "Happy Fall Y'all" pillows I giggle myself silly.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!  Hope to see you at our next show.

Thanks!

2 days til Finders Keepers sale!

The countdown has begun!  Everyone is scurrying around doing last minute things and the store is looking absolutely gorgeous!  I am so excited for Wednesday to get here and those doors to open up!

At my house over the weekend we actually had some productivity!  It was one of those rare elusive weekends that wasn't jam packed with something to do every single minute.  A Friday night fundraiser and a Saturday morning soccer game were the only things we HAD to do which is just so manageable.  That being said we FINALLY got our dining room painted.  For atleast 6 months now our dining room has had about 2.1 million color samples on the wall (recurring problem).  Last time you saw her she looked like this but the new reveal will be coming next week!
BEFORE:  You can see just one area of paint swatches... there were multiple!

Think beautifully (repurposed) white linen curtains... with an added pop of color, a $40 Goodwill dresser turned buffet, an old mirror renewed, and 2 amazing gorgeous botanical prints from the Goodwill which also got a little sprucing up.  Maybe next week will officially be "dining room" week on the blog.  We'll see... I always have such good intentions!

Now, onto a few more sneak peaks of FINDERS KEEPERS.

This is my absolute most favorite spot in the entire store.  The chippy goodness on that chair next to the trunk table.... perfection!

See you Wednesday at 3!!

Give Thanks Pillow and Fall Tablescape

I love fall.  The warm days, crisp nights and that fresh air...I just love it!  We have been blessed with 3 days of absolutely divine fall weather which have inspired me to create a fall table scape to share with you today.  I made the table runner and pillows for this table. All of the china, silver and stemware came from local consignment stores here in Lynchburg.

I love the fabric used to make this table runner.  Butterflies and bees with french script...how can it get better?

Sarah our new project manager (we needed help!!!) came up with the great idea of filling the silver compotes with rose shaped pine cones.  I love this idea for easy fall decorating!  Thank you Sarah!

It took me a few tries to get the "Give Thanks" pillow how I saw it in my mind. I am so happy with how it finally turned out!

I love the creamy white look, but at the end of the day I love color more; so this red ikat pillow brings that punch of color I like in my spaces...

I needed a little red something across the tabletop to pull out the red from the ikat pillows. I love the idea of using vintage books in my home decor, so why not use it on the table too?

I hope you have a great fall day, thanks for joining me!

College Pillows

Last night was "Get Downtown" Lynchburg.  A festival encouraging locals to get downtown and support local businesses.  I wish I could have been there, but my hubby is still out of town on business, so I was "get home" with the kiddos instead.

Earlier in the day I dropped off UVA and VT pillows at Urban Merchant and Michelle said..."it would be nice if we had all of the local colleges for tonight's festival..."

So here you go Michelle.  Not only did Urban Merchant have UVA and VT pillows last night, we added RC (Randolph College/Roanoke College) LC (Lynchburg College) LU (Liberty University)and SBC (Sweet Briar College).

Sorry about the photos, on a whim I snapped a few pics with my iPhone as I was leaving the store.  But I think you get the idea.  :)

We used a neutral linen and embroidered with a creamy white thread. (maximum versatility)  If you are looking for your schools logo, font, or colors, I am sorry to disappoint you, cause you won't find it on these pillows. (Licensing!)  Our goal in creating these pillows is to convey a school's letters in a timeless and elegant way...therefore allowing the decorator of the home to say..."hmmm I think my football watching fanatic would enjoy a pillow supporting our school, and look it actually goes with my decor!"

If we have not gotten to your schools letters, send us an email.  We would be happy to make one for you.  Pillow covers retail for $45 or for $65 with a down insert.  Currently available at Urban Merchant downtown Lynchburg, and will be available at Finder's Keepers September Sale.  As always, you can order them directly from us here at wovenhome@hotmail.com.  Just email us your school and we will get it shipped out to you ASAP!

Labor Day Weekend and Finders Keeper's Preview

Rebekah and family made the long 5.5 hour trek to Hendersonville this weekend to hang out for Labor Day and so we could get away and work at Finders Keepers getting ready for the big sale coming up September 19-22!

Staging a store was not on my resume (until last weekend) but I have to say it was SO MUCH FUN!  It makes it a whole lot easier when you have such amazing things to work with. Wendy, Janet, and company are great at picking and even better at making their picks absolutely beautiful.  Their job description "Doctors of Junkology" couldn't fit them better.  We loved adding our pillows, table runners, curtains, and other Woven Home goods to their store.  We couldn't be more excited about the upcoming sale!

Here is a little preview of what you are in store for!

I have lots more pictures and plan to do a few more "preview" posts so stay tuned!  You might just see something you can't live without.  I know I did!!

Our boys (and Harper Kate) had a great time together as usual.  There were, of course, a few fights... but boys will be boys!  For the most part, they were adorable.  See for yourself!
Randomly... Gray had the same PJ's as the the Moody boys!  They were pumped!

Summer is officially over... do you still wear white after Labor Day?

Save The Date! Finders Keepers Sale Sept. 19-22

We are beyond excited to get to be a part of the sisterhood these women have created!  Stay tuned this week for some previews of products we will be bringing to the sale if we can pull ourselves out of the workroom for a minute.  We have been sewing machines the last couple weeks!! (Pun fully intended :-)

Do come join us for a glass of wine of Wednesday evening to get you in the spirit to buy any number of things that I promise will make you happy for years to come.  Am I the only one that thinks a new piece of furniture, a new mirror, or a new set of pillows is a gift that keeps on giving?  You know, like every time you walk by your new goods you are still super pumped you made that purchase because it makes that one little spot in your house that much more beautiful!

One of my favorite aspects of Finders Keepers is that for the most part you are buying one of a kind items.  You aren't going to walk into your neighbors house and see the exact same thing hanging on their wall as you have on yours. Don't you hate it when that happens?!?  Kind of like walking into a party and having on the exact same dress as someone else... you are laughing on the outside but want to sneak out that back door to go change on the inside!

Pawleys Island Girls Weekend and Shabby Apple Giveaway Winner!

What do you get when you put 11 usually proper, predominately Southern, mostly 30 something, and mainly moms into a house on the beach for a weekend with no kids and no husbands.... you really don't want to know.  And besides... what happens at Pawley's on girls weekend stays at Pawley's!!
Rebekah and I at Pawley's Island Tavern or the PIT.

Suffice it to say we drank a couple mimosas...
The only thing good I can come up with concerning my appearance in this picture is atleast I'm clean?!?!

...we had a cartwheel contest (and maybe a "see who can run the fastest and farthest into the ocean without falling first" contest.)

...we shopped.  If you are ever in Pawley's you absolutely MUST go to Currents Home Furnishings.  Their wall of samples of every single Dash & Albert rug available is enough to put you into a money spending trance!

We worked out a little and laid out a lot!  (My booty is still sore from my 1/4 workout.... out of shape much?)

We ate ridiculous amounts of junk food!  You know, all the stuff that it's not even worth it to have at home because it's too hard to sneak it without your kids catching you!
Should I be embarassed to post this... because I'm not!  Besides, there are avacoados pictured here too... and they are a Super food!

The Chive Blossom is my favorite resteraunt at Pawleys.  A Strawberry Basil Martini and.... wait for it... Grilled Pimento Cheese, Avacado, and Bacon Sandwhich.  Seriously!!!!

We also may have had a glass of wine and a margarita or two.  A sausage ball or two.  And a laugh or two.  For your next girls weekend the two things that are a must would be the Salt N Peppa station on Pandora (turn it on now!) and a rule that everyone must do exactly what THEY want to do.  Whether its nap, shop, boogie board (Rebekah!!) cook, eat out, stay up late or go to bed early.  Our only rule was that everyone did only what they wanted to do with absolutely no judgement and it worked out perfectly!  I wish for you all such an amazing group of girls to hang out with!!

NOW... onto the most important aspect of business for the day.... THE $50 SHABBY APPLE GIVEAWAY WINNER IS.............. drum roll please................. Lucky number 2!
Pam Allen who said "I couldn't pick just one favorite item but I am n love with the entire Twin Palms collection!"  Pam, I'll be sending you an email shortly!  For my very scientific process of picking a winner please watch the video below.  Maybe not scientific... but cute and unequivocally fair!

Lastly, Rebekah and family are loading back up in the car on Thursday to head down to NC for Labor Day weekend which for us is going to include massive amounts of work at Finders Keepers and also some trips to the Apple Festival.  If you are in Western NC or close you should head up because who doesn't love a good festival (and a good apple!!).

Is it seriously almost September?!?!
